Harbert Community Church’s Youth Ministry strives to help youth to grow in their faith and make it their own, challenges them to serve others and honor God with their life, and helps them to connect with other students and explore how the historic Christian faith is part of their story even today. Paul said it well in Ephesians 1:17, “I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.”
Wednesday Youth Group // 6-12 grade / 6:30–8:00pm

The hope is that in discussion we might explore the topic or Scripture of the night in more depth allowing space for question to be asked and wrestled with. The goal of our youth ministry is to build Christian community, strengthen faith, and create a space for ownership and identify to really take root in hearts and lives… or in short, “so that we may know him better.”
Confirmation // 7-8 grade / 9:30- 10:15am (before Sunday worship)
Confirmation exists to foster a deep and abiding relationship with Father, Son, and Holy Spirit by encouraging participants to begin, or intentionally continue, a life-long journey as Christ’s disciple. Over the course of the 2 years of confirmation, we hope to present an overview of the Holy Scriptures and historic church beliefs while offering all participants the opportunity to begin and/or strengthen their personal commitment to following Jesus Christ.
H.S. Book Group // 9-12 grade / Sunday Evenings
High schoolers have an opportunity on Sunday evenings to participate in a small group that is just for them! This group is more like a book club. We eat dinner together, read books as well as books of the Bible, and then gather to ask questions, to explore, to push back, to imagine, and to discuss questions of God, Jesus, faith, seeking to connect this ancient story to our own, right here, right now!
Harbert Youth is mix of event that simply seek to bring kids together for fellowship and activities, as well as events that are more centered on explore our faith through the study of Scripture, worship, and study.
