FRIENDSHIP

The coffee is always on at HCC. Everyone gathers for coffee after worship, and the one-cup coffee station in the lobby is fully stocked during the week. The office is open M-F 9am-3pm, so stop in if you need anything! And whether it’s a game of pickle ball, a spaghetti dinner, coffee hour, project days, worshiping and volunteering, or serving on a mission trip, HCC is a place to find friendship, support, encouragement, and purpose.

GUY’S NIGHT: This group typically meet monthly in the evenings for those who might be working or juggling family responsibilities during the day. Through this middle season of life, we are often looking for a place to connect, hangout, and grow together in Christ. This group primarily meets around the fire, and at times in a home or an outing or activity. The aim is connection, friendship, and simple sharing of our faith journeys over a question of the day or “compline prayers.” Contact Pastor Jesse if you are interested in joining one of these gatherings.

WEDNESDAY WOMEN’S GATHERING: Women of all ages are invited to gather at church each Wednesday afternoon, 1-3pm, in the Family Room. Bring friends, or a current project you are working on, or just yourself.

GENTLE WORKOUT CLASS: Join others on Friday mornings at 10am in the Fellowship Hall for a gentle 45-minute workout with the goals of maintaining flexibility, balance and endurance. This is led by a trained instructor.

KNIT & CROCHET GROUP: Join others from our community on Friday afternoons, 1-3pm, in the Fellowship Hall, to knit and crochet. Beginners are invited to come and learn!

MERCY MATS: This is a group that meets regularly on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm weaving plastic mats out of grocery bags. Bring scissors and a ruler with you if you have them.

SERVICE & MISSION: There is a place and a purpose for all of us! Whether it is reading Scripture on a Sunday morning, loading up donations to take to a food pantry, pulling weeds, praying for a student, volunteering in local schools and service organizations, sending cards of encouragement, or helping widows and orphans across the globe—HCC connects people with opportunities to use their time and talents in serving others.

FELLOWSHIP MEALS: Sharing meals together is a big part of HCC. There is food and fun at potlucks, picnics, dessert nights, and Sunday lunches after worship. There is even a Christmas Dinner by candlelight with live entertainment to invite adult friends and neighbors to.

BREAKING BREAD: Gathering on occasion following Sunday worship to prepare and eat lunch in community.
