Camp Dates - Monday, July 6 - Thursday, July 9, 9:00am-12:00pm
Slideshow & Closing Worship - Thursday, July 9, 11:30am-12:15pm (Parents, friends, grandparents welcome)
THEME: Kingdom Quest
During worship at our Day Camp, kids will journey through the life of Jesus and discover what it means to be part of God’s Kingdom. Along the way, they’ll follow the story of Peter—one of Jesus’ closest friends—watching how he learns to trust Jesus, even when he doesn’t fully understand what Jesus is doing.
Each day brings a new moment from Jesus’ ministry: experiencing His love, seeing His power, learning from His teachings, and discovering the hope He brings through His death and resurrection. Through these stories, kids will see that Jesus invites ordinary people—like Peter, and like us—into the extraordinary adventure of following Him and living as part of God’s Kingdom!
CLASSES:
Kids Day Camp (aka VBS) at Harbert Community Church is a little different from most! We offer a wide selection of unique, skill and interested based classes. Kids get to choose two classes based on their interests.
Each day begins and ends with worship and bible storytelling together as a large group. In between, kids attend two 45-minute camp classes. When registering, each child selects two classes that they will participate in each day for the full four-day camp. This gives kids time to learn, build skills, try new things, and grow as the creative, imaginative, wonder-filled children God made them to be. It can be tough to choose only two classes for the whole week! The good news is that many classes return each year—so kids can come back next summer and try something new.
2026 Classes and Descriptions
Before registering, it is highly recommended that you read through the class descriptions below. We have many classes that are returning again and few new ones! Please honor age and grade limits when choosing classes. Some teachers set age ranges because of the complexity of projects or activities, and we want every child to have the best experience possible.
The following classes are open to all grades, K-5
Garden Club - Kids get a chance to build a fairy/gnome gardens in a basket, rock painting, birdhouses, and more. Let your creativity run wild!

(You’ll notice when registering that this class is split into two groups—one is K-2nd, and the other 3rd-5th. This allows the teachers to cater the cooking and baking to a more appropriate developmental ability).
